SUMMARY:Toward Scalable Voxelization of Meshes with High Growth Rate
DESCRIPTION:Posters, Research Posters\n\nToward Scalable Voxelization of M
eshes with High Growth Rate\n\nHrabánková, Meca, Brzobohatý, Říha, Jaroš..
.\n\nThe poster presents a scalable approach that converts the results of
large-scale Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations into a volumetr
ic representation used by volume rendering-based visualization. Even if th
is functionality is provided by common post-processing tools, its efficien
t parallelization requires an appropriate load-balancing. Unfortunately, l
oad-balancing according to the number of cells does not scale for unstruct
ured meshes with high growth rate that is common in CFD. In the poster, we
show that with an appropriate redistribution of data among available reso
urces it is possible to perform the operation in just several seconds with
significantly improved scalability.\n\nRegistration Category: Tech Progra
